Mimio Resources:
You must have Mimio Interactive Software on your computer in order to be able to use these files.
N.B. When you start the Download of any of these files, add the file extension .ink ..otherwise your computer will try to change the format to .zip by default. For example, when you try to download the first file (dathanna), change the file name to dathanna.ink
Chess: I have placed the Chess Objects onto the Chess Background so that you can begin a virtual game ...Left-click to run directly or Right click (and Save As) Chess.ink (56 KB)
Map of Ireland: I have taken the Objects (in the Gallery) for Ireland Republic and Ireland Northern and Grouped them together ...Left-click to run directly or Right click (and Save As) IrelandGrouped.ink (7 KB)
Ireland's Mountains and Rivers: this is an Image I created elsewhere, then imported into Mimio IrelandMtsRivers.ink (85 KB)
100 Square: I used a spreadsheet program to generate the number grid, then Copied and Pasted into Mimio: 100Square.ink (2 KB)
Numbers 1 to 10: I liked these 'clip art' numbers which I found in the Internet, and "screen clipped" them into Mimio Numbers.ink (63 KB)
Magic Square: I used a spreadsheet and some nice formulae to generate the original square, then Copied and Pasted into Mimio MagicSquare.ink (2 KB)
JC Maths Ord Level: I have used a PDF of the Exam paper, and then 'screen clipped' it by sections into Mimio MathsJuniorCertOrdinary2006Paper2.ink (86 KB)
CVC Words "U": this Word Game provides practice with *u* words U Word Game - Activity for CVC Words.ink (2 KB)
Contrárachtaí: this Mimio notebook provides practice in 'opposites as Gaeilge' Gaeilge Contrarachtai.ink (516 KB)
Dathanna: an exercise (i nGaeilge) to learn the names of colours. ...Left-click to run directly or Right click (and Save As) Dathanna.ink (204 KB)
This particular file also has some pictures in it - these are downloaded within the file so you don't have to do anything extra.
However, there are also some Sounds included: while the Mimio file will still work (but you won't hear anything!) it may be useful to download these sounds separately. I have created an Archive ('zipped') file which you can download here - this time do not change the file name by adding a file extension, just let it be saved as the default 'compressed format' (445 KB) . After you download this, Windows XP (or a third-party program) can 'unzip' this file for you: right-click on the downloaded file and choose 'Extract All'. If both the downloaded dathanna.ink (mimio file) and the dathanna Folder are, for example, on the Desktop, you will now hear the sounds (via Windows Media Player) from the Mimio file. To change location (in order to keep the Desktop tidy), save the Folder called 'Dathanna' in the same folder location as your Mimio file called dathanna.ink.
