Classroom Resources for use with RM's Easiteach: As part of our CBI Project (and during their Summer 2006 course in particular), the teachers have created a number of files which will run with any CBI (or computer) on which the Easiteach software is installed. My thanks to the teachers who have shared these resources: these are for classroom, non-commercial use; please respect their copyright. A resource can take two hours to produce: if you use more than one of these resources, I insist(!) that you create and share your own resource: please email these to davidk@ict4schools.ie



Note that you must have Easiteach software installed on your computer in order to read these files. A Reader program - 'EasiTeach Lite' for 'Next Generation' - can be downloaded from http://www.rm.com/shops/rmshop/Product.aspx?cref=PD1789603 - it is 20 MB in size. A 30-day trial version of Easiteach NG can also be downloaded from the same page: unlike the DVD version, this lacks the Multimedia Asset/Resource Pack and the Text-To-Speech voices



Note that Easiteach Next Generation (ETNG) does not open the original format .et files. Instead, ETNG opens its own Easibook format (.etng, .etnt). In order for ETNG to access our .et files, they have to be exported as .iwb files (Easiteach 3.4 with the 3.6 upgrade needed) ...I reproduce these below (although not all content gets carried through the CFF export process)


Note that ETNG can also open

  • SMART Notebook files (.notebook type) so visit our page at smart_-_ireland.html
  • Common File Format (.iwb files) so visit our page at cff_-_ireland.html
  • PowerPoint (.pptx only - not the '97-2003' .ppt types) ...but these are not the main focus of this CBIproject site
